Gaining insight into the when's and where's for storytelling
In this segment we make the correlation between storytelling skills and high-impact business communication. We'll explore when and where this skill works best... how it can maximize your ability to present abstract concepts... how it lends clarity and context to ambiguous technical information. In the second taped exercise of the day, you'll make this important correlation for yourself as you connect a personal anecdote to a professional situation. Coaches are on hand to give you pointers and speed your learning.
Developing strategies and planning for success
In any successful endeavor, planning is key. Now's the time to focus on the strategy behind your stories: What are your objectives in different situations? Who is your audience? What story, analogy, anecdote, etc. will be most appropriate and most effective? Our T-Bar tool guides you step-by-step as you answer each of these questions thoroughly and confidently. Our next taped exercise allows you to hone the story you'll use in a specific situation and make improvements to your strategy.
